Professional Fees: Individual Session (60 min): $130
The clinical service provided by a Social Worker is HST exempt.
Payment: Due to offering virtual appointments, payment for services is expected at the beginning of your counselling session. Payment can be made by Interac e-Tranfer Autodeposit to info@alisonwattmsw.com and an official receipt will be provided to you after your appointment. You can submit this receipt to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please ensure that your current mental health benefits include coverage for a Registered Social Worker (RSW). I also offer direct billing through TELUS Health. Please contact me to see if you are eligible for direct billing through your insurance provider.
Telephone Calls: I attempt to return calls by the end of each business day. Occasionally, I may not be able to return your call until the following day. Please ensure that I have your current contact number(s) and please let me know if there is any reason why I should not leave a voice message when I return your call.
Office Hours: Daytime, evening and weekend appointments are available. Although I make every attempt to respond to the needs of my current clients, I do not provide 24-hour coverage and I cannot always be available for emergency contact. For emergencies, please refer to the crisis services listed on the following page.
Electronic communications will not be responded to outside of regular working hours. While I attempt to review and respond to electronic communications in a timely manner, I cannot guarantee that all electronic communications will be reviewed and responded to within any specific period of time. All electronic communications will be generated from the physical office/work setting only.
Please do not contact me via electronic communication when in crisis. If your mental health is rapidly declining, you should not rely on a counselling appointment. In such instances, you should take other measures as appropriate, such as calling 911, visiting your nearest Emergency Department or Urgent Care Clinic, and/or calling your local distress line.
I do not accept friend requests from current or former clients on any of my personal social media accounts. I believe that adding clients as friends on these sites can compromise confidentiality and blur the boundaries of the working relationship.
