Office & Fee Policy

Professional Fees: Individual Session (60 min): $140

Clinical services provided by a Registered Social Worker (RSW) are exempt from HST.

Payment: Payment is due at the beginning of each session and may be made by cash, debit, or e-Transfer. A receipt will be issued following your appointment which you may submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please confirm with your insurer that your plan covers services provided by a Registered Social Worker (RSW). Direct billing may be available depending on your insurance provider. Please contact me to confirm eligibility.

Telephone Calls: I make every effort to return phone calls by the end of each business day. However, there may be occasions when I am unable to respond until the following day. Please ensure I have your current contact number(s), and please inform me if there is any reason I should not leave a voicemail when returning your call.

Office Hours: Daytime, evening, and weekend appointments are available. Although I make every attempt to respond to the needs of my clients, I do not offer 24-hour coverage and may not always be available for emergency contact. In the event of an emergency, please refer to the crisis resources listed on the Crisis Services page.

Electronic messages are not monitored or responded to outside of regular business hours. While I make every effort to review and respond to electronic communications promptly, I cannot guarantee a response within a specific timeframe. All electronic communications are sent from the physical office/work setting only.

Electronic communication should not be used for urgent or crisis situations. If your mental health is deteriorating rapidly, please do not rely on electronic messaging or a counselling appointment. In such instances, you should take other measures as appropriate, such as calling 911, visiting your nearest Emergency Department or Urgent Care Clinic, and/or contacting your local crisis line.

I do not accept friend requests from current or former clients on any of my personal social media accounts. I believe that adding clients as friends on these sites can compromise confidentiality and blur the boundaries of the working relationship.
