Office & Fee Policy

Professional Fees: Individual Session (60 min): $140

Clinical services provided by a Registered Social Worker (RSW) are HST-exempt.

Payment: Payment is due at the beginning of each session and can be made by cash, debit, or e-Transfer. A receipt will be provided following your appointment, which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please confirm with your insurance provider that your plan includes coverage for services delivered by a Registered Social Worker (RSW). Direct billing may be available, depending on your insurer. Please contact me to determine your eligibility.

Telephone Calls: I make every effort to return calls by the end of each business day. Occasionally, I may not be able to return your call until the following day. Please ensure I have your current contact number(s), and inform me if there is any reason I should not leave a voicemail when returning your call.

Office Hours: Daytime, evening, and weekend appointments are available. Although I make every attempt to respond to the needs of my current clients, I do not offer 24-hour coverage and I cannot always be available for emergency contact. For emergencies, please refer to the crisis resources listed on the Crisis Services page.

Electronic messages will not be monitored or responded to outside of regular business hours. While I make every effort to review and respond to electronic communications in a timely manner, I cannot guarantee a response within a specific timeframe. All electronic communications will be generated from the physical office/work setting only.

Electronic communication should not be used in crisis situations. If your mental health is rapidly declining, you should not rely on a counselling appointment. In such instances, you should take other measures as appropriate, such as calling 911, visiting your nearest Emergency Department or Urgent Care Clinic, and/or calling your local distress line.

I do not accept friend requests from current or former clients on any of my personal social media accounts. I believe that adding clients as friends on these sites can compromise confidentiality and blur the boundaries of the working relationship.
