I am a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, who specializes in providing clinical counselling services to adolescents and young adults.
I completed a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Degree at Carleton University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree at Western University, and have spent my career working with adolescents, young adults, and their families.
During my Masters, I completed my practicum with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Care Program (Eating Disorders) at Victoria Hospital in London, and this is where I discovered my true passion for counselling.
After my five years of post-secondary education, I took my first contract position with the Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient and Outreach Program at Regional Mental Health Care in London.
After my contract was up, and eager to continue my work with adolescents and families, I decided to move to a small town in Alberta where I worked as a mental health therapist in a secondary school and outreach school for two years.
Today, I am back living in my hometown in London. I have worked as a mental health therapist for students attending Western University for four years, and for Western's Faculty and Staff for three years.
I have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and I have a keen understanding of mental illness and relationships.
