I am a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, who specializes in providing clinical counselling services to adolescents and young adults.
I completed a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Degree at Carleton University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree at Western University, and have spent my career working with adolescents, young adults and their families.
During my Masters, I completed my practicum with the Child & Adolescent Mental Health Care Program (Eating Disorders) at Victoria Hospital in London, and this is where I discovered my true passion for counselling.
After my five years of post-secondary education, I took my first contract position with the Adolescent Mental Health Inpatient & Outreach Program at Regional Mental Health Care in London.
After my contract was up, and eager to continue my work with adolescents and families, I decided to move to a small town in Alberta where I worked as a mental health therapist in a secondary school and outreach school for two years.
Today, I am back living in my hometown in London. I have worked as a mental health therapist for students attending Western University for four years, and for Western's Faculty and Staff for three years.
I have training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and I have a keen understanding of mental illness and relationships.
